Opinion: Gone again

Yes, folks, I’m out for a second week out of three. Summer is such a great time for me to be away: No news happens anyway, right?

Right?

(See y’all on Aug. 7!)

 "it's all about the economy stupids".

Yes, the jobs picture has certainly improved.  No credit goes to Obama, and certainly none to Trump either.  Economies are cyclical, and there is very little politicians can do to change that.

However wages continue to stagnate.  But that should stop as some point as competition for good workers increases.

Actually, politicians can do quite a bit by creating an environment where business has the best climate in which to succeed. Minimizing regulations that impede business growth is one way. Reducing taxes is another. Obama presided over an administration unfriendly toward business and it had a negative impact on economic recovery from the recession. Trump, has been able to create a business friendly administration and his first step was to roll back regulations mostly by executive action. His tax policies can be a huge step forward but he's up against political forces that want his presidency to fail.

Year-on-year murders in Chicago have dropped this year by a few hundred. But I think the city is taking the wrong approach.  They should set up free-fire zones and encourage gang members to hang out there.  In fact they should offer gang member a free bus ride to the free-fire zones.  Gang members are stupid losers, and the more that get wasted the better.

Another instance of real life polls versus fake polls, in Washington Post World, Colin Keaperrnik would be the most popular man in America. He's practically the second coming of Jimmy Carter, hates the cops and loves Fidel Castro. He should be polling in the high 90's right? Well, back on Planet Earth, no one will touch him with a ten foot stick.

Believe what you hear from the monkey media at your own peril.

Every day I thank God that Obama is retired and clinton was humiliated in the last election. Our country has been saved. You know that is a true fact when you see the usual fascists, vermin and wan-kers whining about it. They know they are past tense and they lash out in ignorance over it.

The only hope they have is manufactured out of whole cloth.

@AndyManUSA#45 Our country is probably in more danger now than anytime in the past 50 years because of the incompetence of the Chief Executive.

@MarkVV @AndyManUSA#45  Yes, if only we hadn't had the hopelessly incompetent Obama for 8 years giving North Korea and Iran the green light to create nuclear weapons and allowing ISIS to take over much of Iraq and Syria.

@MarkVV @AndyManUSA#45 Obama screwed up in his foreign policy by encouraging revolts in Libya and Syria. When chaos ensued it was hands off. Then there was Bush.

The stupid pathetically duped are in a quandary of waiting on nothing, while their party offers nothing but hopes and dreams about the demise of a presidency they despise with no agenda that resonates with everyday traditional Americans. They can only talk about approval polls but they fail to comprehend the low esteem their own party holds in real America.

@SGTGrit

Well let's look at Trump's approval numbers......

With republicans he's at 70%.

With democrats he's at 11%.

With independents he's at 31%.

The big drop off since he took office is with independents.  He's dropped 11 points, from 42% approval to 31% approval.  And independents are the largest voting bloc, 40% of all voters are independents.

So your implication that it's just duped democrats that oppose Trump is absolutely false.

@breckenridge @SGTGrit

Here's where your weak argument comes crashing to the ground. Lets start first with poll accuracy we've learned that societal change, technological change has placed the polling industry in a state of flux. Therefore polling has some catching up to do in order to be once again a credible barometer of political direction at any given time. Next Independent voters are a fickle voting block. Any turn of events have a dramatic effect on their voting preference. Thirdly, about one third of perceived Democrat voters are undependable in any general election. Fourthly, Trump supporters are a steadfast voting block. Good luck with wishing in one hand while defecating in the other.

@SGTGrit @breckenridge How many Trump supporters are still Trump supporters? Maybe the gop healthcare proposals cured some of them.

WASHINGTON August 8 – Kellyanne Conway made a rare admission Sunday for a member of the Trump administration – the president’s poll numbers have taken a hit.

Wait...I thought those were fake polls?  Apparently not.

"""""The GOP is being re-formed, or reformed, at this very moment. Sober voices are asking whether some members — the names of Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska inevitably are invoked here — are really Republicans after all, and whether they ought to be allowed to remain under the party’s policy umbrella.

“The fact is that last year after Trump won everyone was on the same page: full repeal of Obamacare,” says Andrew Roth, the chief lobbyist for the Club for Growth, a conservative group that emphasizes economic issues, especially lower taxes. “When the vote came and it mattered, some Republicans betrayed their campaign promises. The truth is that they largely believe in keeping Obamacare going. They’re too liberal for the constituents they represent.”"""""

Senate Republicans who turn away from Trump are turning away from a conservative agenda and are doing so at their own peril. If Republicans in congress are stupid enough to believe the presidential polls at this point then they deserve to lose their jobs.

@Finn-McCool @SGTGrit Conservative agenda? Only for the far, far right wing and the very wealthy. What drives a multi-millionaire (or multi-billionaire) to lie cheat and steal to make even more money?

Starik
Starik

@SGTGrit @Starik @Finn-McCool You seem to be a victim of the old, familiar Southern mindset. "The upper class got their elevated status through intelligence, person honesty and hard work." "Quality folk." Not true. They became upper class because they inherited money or set out to make money at the expense of other people. See Trump. He inherited a lot of money and clearly has a lack of real education; he's not too intelligent either.

"Under this bill the President would maintain the power to remove the special counsel, but we would just want to make sure that it had merit and have that back-end judicial process. And if there is a termination, we just want to make sure, through judicial review, that it was warranted." US Senator Thom Tillis, R-North Carolina, on the bill he is co-sponsoring to prevent Trump from firing Robert Mueller without cause, 8-4-2016

Senate republicans are paying attention to those "fake" poll numbers that show Trump's approval rating is in the toilet. And that is why they are moving against him.

Well done Senate republicans.

Look here, freak show, there is no doubt you are the fake poll winner, how can anyone else even compete? But when it really matters, on election day, you are super loser, even France has more victories than you miserable failures.

You truly are a weirdo, breck

@AndyManUSA#45

It was a choice between two horrible candidates, Trump and Clinton. A few more voters in key locations decided Trump is a bit less horrible.  That''s all.

I didn't vote for either of them and I'm damn proud of that fact.
